Welcome back to Ellison Bay Arts’ Spring Art Crawl, set for May 20-21 from 10am to 5pm.
For over 20 years, Ellison Bay Arts continues to provide beautiful creations to nourish bodies, hearts, and minds with fine art, fine craft, education, artisan food and drink. Our little town can be proud of what we provide and do to enhance our community and all who visit.
Go north to Ellison Bay to enjoy the best view in Door County. Rich in the tradition of arts and crafts, Ellison Bay is home to artist studios/galleries that feature pottery, original paintings, photography, wearable art and handmade leather items. There is also a cider house, coffee house, and a folk school.
Clay Bay Pottery Jeanne and David Aurelius of Clay Bay Pottery create hand-thrown pottery and tiles, which reflects their devotion and delight in nature. Jeanne is known for her whimsical ladies. Their gallery also carries original paintings, woodcuts, and pottery from other well-known artists.
Turtle Ridge Gallery/Boutique The gallery space features mixed media paintings, encaustics, and etchings by Mary Ellen Sisulak. The award-winning boutique offers unique handmade leather bags and art to wear made on site, complimented by artisan jewelry and designer clothing. Turtle Ridge is surrounded by the inspiration of gardens and nature.
Kick Ash Coffee/Door County Love Artisan Granola It’s a great place to kick back, enjoy the view and in-house roasted coffee, granola, and other treats from their gluten-free kitchen.
Gills Rock Pottery Thor and Judy Thoreson offer original designs on hand-thrown pots, which are both functional and decorative. Beautiful table linens and wooden ware are artfully displayed with the pottery.
The Clearing is an adult folk school that offers classes in the arts and fine crafts, humanities, and natural sciences in a beautiful wooded setting on the water. Take a tour and visit the bookstore.
Ellison Bay Pottery John Dietrich and Diane McNeil create beautiful, functional stoneware pottery and unique Raku pottery inspired by the beauty and history of Door County. Their gallery also carries paintings by Thomas Dietrich and Margaret Dietrich. Celebrating 48 years.
Rob Williams Studio/Gallery Rob’s colorful watercolor and oil landscapes are paired with Shirley’s photographs and gardens.
Island Orchard Cider offers delicious handcrafted ciders. They have an outdoor dog-friendly patio. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with a cider flight tasting. Try their newest cider release Kingston Black, a frothy, full-bodied, semi-dry cider made with solely Kingston Black apples from row 25 in their orchard on Washington Island. Cheers!
