Lone Piñon will lead the audience through a musical geography of Northern New Mexico, explaining the important musical and dance genres that define the region. Playing several tunes from each genre will help the audience can start to develop their own feeling of what makes each rhythm unique. In the process, the group will tell about musicians they have learned from and share some of the lore around different tunes and dances.
