It’s spooky season at the Milwaukee County Zoo as Boo at the Zoo presented by Prairie Farms Dairy returns for two weekends in 2025. Guests of all ages are encouraged to come in costume to take in the fun, “not-so-scary” activities October 17-19 and 24-26 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Boo at the Zoo, features family-friendly activities including a Trick-or-Treat Trail, live pumpkin-carving demos, light shows, Creatures of the Night animal talks, plus much more!
Pre-purchased tickets are required for entry and are now on sale here. Zoo Pass members save 15% with code trick and their membership number.
Come prepared for an evening of fun, treat-filled activities including:
- Take a walk on the Trick-or-Treat Trail through Adventure Africa with six stops. (Be sure to bring your own treat bags to gather your goodies, as trick-or-treat bags are not provided.)
- Be dazzled by light shows and Halloween decor with the Candy Corn Farmer’s Market, Pumpkin Park, Haunted Hallow, and more.
- Learn about animals at Halloween-themed conservation connections.
- Stop in for a spell at Mad Science of Milwaukee to enjoy eerie experiments.
- Visit open animal buildings: Aquatic & Reptile Center, Dairy Complex, Elephant Care Center, Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country, Primates of the World, Small Mammals Building, and Sterns Family Apes of Africa. For their health and safety, outdoor animals are not viewable.
- Pick up a variety of Halloween-themed food and beverages at stops across the Zoo.
- Be amazed by our stilt walkers!
- See if you can make your way through our creatively crafted Haystack Maze.
- Stroll through hundreds of carved pumpkins at the Gourd Gallery.




Costumes for all ages are encouraged but not required. Please remember this is a family-friendly event; we ask that all costumes are appropriate for small children and are delightful, not frightful.
Boo at the Zoo will be held rain or shine. Tickets are nonrefundable and honored only for the specific evening for which they were purchased. Parking is included in the ticket price — a $15 value.

Juniors (ages 3 to 12): $15
Children (2 and under): Free
