MILWAUKEE ZOO’S EGG DAY

A SPRINGTIME CELEBRATION

Hop Over on Saturday, April 4

It’s going to be a spectacular Saturday when the Milwaukee County Zoo opens its doors for Egg Day sponsored by Racine Danish Kringles on April 4. Spring-themed activities will take over the Zoo from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., all included with admission unless otherwise noted. New for 2026, the Zoo is offering a Brunch Buffet package — reserved in advance — to elevate your Egg Day experience.

Serving from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., each Brunch Buffet ticket includes admission and activities at Egg Day, parking, chef-prepared brunch buffet and drinks, children’s craft, a ride on the North Shore Bank Safari Train, and an exclusive animal encounter. Pre-purchased tickets are required for the Brunch Buffet and available online only; registration closes March 25.

Juniors (ages 3 to 12): $36
Children (2 and under): Free



Egg Day’s wild and festive activities include:

  • Start your Zoo journey off with your own set of bunny ears, provided at the main entrance.
  • Play along with Egg Day Spring Bingo. Stop at the Penguins of the Pacific habitat to pick up a bingo card and mark spaces as you see items around the Zoo. Once you have a bingo, return your card for a prize!
  • Catch the Bunny Parade at one of its three expeditions: 10:30 a.m., Noon and 1:30 p.m., beginning and ending at Macaque Island.
  • Participate in a special Egg Hunt. Count the animal print eggs hidden along the trail and receive a special treat.
  • Multiple animal enrichment demonstrations are scheduled throughout the Zoo, specially themed for this fun-filled day.
    • o 10 a.m. – Pigs (Northwestern Mutual Family Farm)
      o 11 a.m. – Big Cats
      o 11:30 a.m. – Harbor Seals
      o Noon – Otters
      o 1 p.m. – Elephants
  • Other activities include complimentary face painting; three special festive photo opportunities; Chalk
    the Zoo by adding flower designs on the garden path at the Elephant Care Center; and Dixie-land jazz from the popular group, Razzmatazz, in the U.S. Bank Gathering Place.
  • And don’t forget to ride the Bunny Eggxpress (also known as the North Shore Bank Safari Train), weather permitting! (Fee: $5/per person, plus tax)

Zoological Society membership is valid for Egg Day. Registration is not required.
