The annual Muralfest & Car Show will take place the first Saturday in September in Ashland, Wisconsin.
Starting at 10 a.m., the event will run until 3 p.m. Random cash drawings totaling $5,000 are given away, along with trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in thirteen classes. There is no fee to enter.
This small, quaint festival is located on Main Street in front of the Ashland County Courthouse. Art carfters will be linked up on the courthouse lawan, and the Ashland Lions Club will run a brat and hot dog stand.
Attendees can enjoy classic 50s, 60s, and 70s music. Trolly tours will take place at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for $5 per person.
In addition, retail stores within the 8-block historic districk will have racks outside and/or sales inside.
“Muralfest is a great way to celebrate the end of the summer and the beginning of fall,” said Mary McPhetridge, Director of the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce.
