Beloit Taco Takedown Returns for a Third Year on August 8

Featuring Local Vendors, Live Music and a Jalapeño Eating Contest

The Beloit Taco Takedown is back for its third year of flavor, competition and community. The community event will take place at the Ironworks Campus Spine just outside of Henry Dorrbaker’s in downtown Beloit on August 8 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free, with food, drinks and Maestro Dobel VIP tickets available for purchase.

This year there will be two champions crowned at the end of the night. A panel of local celebrity judges will award the coveted Taco Takedown Championship Belt to their top taco, while event guests will crown the People’s Choice Champion, who will take home the Taco Takedown Championship Chain.

Event Highlights:

  • Food and drink: Savor a variety of tacos, sides, margaritas and cold drinks.
  •  Jalapeño Eating Contest presented by Reyes Coca Cola: Watch as brave competitors test their spice tolerance to the limit in this fiery challenge.
  • Live Music: presented by Corazon Tequila Fiesta Enjoy a lineup of live music featuring performances by Zack D, DJ Proper, Stereotype, Clementine and MOTH.
  • Maestro Dobel VIP Area: Exclusive front row access to all the happenings on Henry Dorrbaker’s Patio. Included in the price of admission are 4 cocktails, an exclusive swag bag and other surprises.
  • $1 of every Tito’s drink sold is donated to the Vet’s Roll organization to help Vets get to DC at no cost to them.
