Hudson Hot Air Affair
Hudson Hot Air Affair (HHAA) is set for the weekend of February 7-9. This popular balloon rally and winter festival is packed full of hot air balloons and events, all with a fun disco theme of “Staying Alive in 2025.”
2025 brings some big changes, and most important one is that we have a new location! Due to construction, the event has moved to River Crest Elementary School at 535 County Road F (just south of Hudson). The new location comes with another big change, the addition of shuttle busses. Due to limited onsite parking, on Saturday, February 8th, guests MUST take a free shuttle bus to attend events at the school. Only handicap parking will be available at the school on Saturday, and it will be limited to a first come basis.
Several pre-events are set to lead up to the HHAA, including the Buena Vista Stroll at Lakefront Park in downtown Hudson, a kickoff fundraiser at Big Guys BBQ Roadhouse, breakfast crafts for kids at Dick’s Bar and Grill, a candlelight hike and ski and game day at YMCA Camp St. Croix, a countdown event at Hudson Grocery Co-op and County Market, a “Staying Alive” CPR and first aid class and a Canvas Party Painting Class with Audrey Martin. Visit hudsonhotairaffair.com/events for event details.
Saturday is packed full of great activities including: the Marketplace and Craft Sale is open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. in the River Crest School; the Masons’ Pancake Breakfast; Angel’s Pet World will host a Pet Adoption event; the Hot Balloon Fat Bike Race; the Lions Club’s Bean Bag Tournament; the annual Smooshboard Competition; the Rotary’s St. Croix River Dunk; the Boosters Bingo; the Prize Drop Fundraiser for the St. Croix Valley Food Bank and a Dance Party at Empourium.
Don’t miss the Moon Glow/Field of Fire at River Crest School grounds from 6:15-7:15 p.m. We are pleased to welcome Skogen’s Festival Foods and the 2025 Moon Glow sponsor. This is a popular event so plan to come early to take a shuttle bus to the school.
