Hop on over to the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Egg Day

Eggs-perience a fun-filled “pre-Easter” celebration at the Milwaukee County Zoo on Saturday, April 8, as Egg Day sponsored by Racine Danish Kringles makes an eggs-citing return for another year! From 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy Easter-themed activities — all included with Zoo admission unless otherwise noted.

You won’t want to miss the Easter Parade, featuring the Easter Bunny himself! Stop along the parade route during one of its three expeditions, and you might even catch some sweet treats!

Hop aboard the North Shore Bank Safari Train and search for the carrots the Bunny left behind. (Train opens at 10 a.m. and operates weather permitting. Fee: $4/person.)

Grab your own set of Bunny Ears to look like our furry friend. Then pick up a Scavenger Hunt card and spy special items throughout the Zoo. Return your card for a special prize! Plus, count the golden eggs along the Egg Hunt Trail and receive a unique treat.

Plan to hippity-hop over to demonstrations and check out animals like big cats and otters enjoying Enrichment Items that encourage natural behaviors. Schedule includes: 10 a.m. – Pigs, 11 a.m. – Big Cats, 11:30 a.m. – Seals, Noon – Otters, and 1 p.m. – Elephants.

Choose your favorite Face Painting design and show off your springtime spirit. Then, add your chalk flower design to the Garden Path at the Elephant Care Center!

Kohl’s Wild Theater’s fan-favorite characters will entertain and educate through games, song, and dance.

Be sure to share your special day for all to see by taking a photo at three special Photo HOPortunities.

Get into the spirit with Dixie-land jazz from popular group Razzmatazz from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Keep your bunny ears and eyes peeled for the Aquatic & Reptile Center’s newest residents: ten Amazon milk frogs. They’re petite and blue; check out their habitat and see if you can find them all! Their small size makes them great at blending in with their surroundings. All of the frogs are siblings, and the last time the Zoo had this species in its population was 2019. We’re thrilled to welcome them back.

For Zoo admission fees, visit the Zoo’s website at www.milwaukeezoo.org. Zoological Society membership is valid for Egg Day.
