Sam Ness returns to Amherst in early November

The Jensen Community Center welcomes Sam Ness back to the stage in Amherst for a concert with his band, Sam Ness & the Other Natural Flavors, on Saturday, Nov. 9.

The music of Sam Ness mixes traditional folk/Americana roots with a new-age/alternative singer-songwriter feel. Ness finds inspiration in the ancient cobblestone streets across the globe. A native of Sauk Prairie, he has performed in the ancient streets of Europe, the bustling bars of Bangkok and Phnom Penh, in the mountains of New Zealand, and the Highlands of Scotland. His music takes you places, letting his sharp intelligence and rich voice move your mind and tell the story within his poetry set to song.

Ness teams up with his band, Sam Ness & the Other Natural Flavors, for another unforgettable night in the Jensen Community Center Theater. Their songs and stories are written with the intention of finding something more together; something sincere.

The concert will open with Ben Mulwana, who will kick off the show with a groovy rock and soulful sound. A Ugandan-born and raised artist residing in Wisconsin, Mulwana sings about love, loss, and everything in between. His music has an afro-soul rock quality brimming with unique storytelling to start us off right.

Prior to the concert, which gets under way at 7 p.m., there will be a 6 p.m. reception including sweet and savory handheld goodies from The Village Hive for purchase, as well as a cash bar by the Jensen Community Center.

Advance tickets are on sale now online at www.jensencommunitycenter.ticketspice.com/sn for $15. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door for $20.
