State-bound students perform Sartori concert series

The Plymouth Arts Center is pleased to announce the return of the Joseph P. Sartori Concert Series with “An Evening of the Classics: Young Stars,” performed by State-bound music students from the Plymouth area.

Each of our performers has demonstrated impeccable skill on their instrument and earned a place in the upcoming State-level WSMA Solo & Ensemble music festival in Milwaukee. In celebration of their achievements, these students have come together to share the fruits of their labor with the community.

Performances will include a variety of instruments and feature classical composers and Broadway tunes. The night is sure to be a treat for all music lovers. Come help us send our ‘young stars’ off on a high note!

“An Evening of the Classics: Young Stars” will be held at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill St., Plymouth, on Saturday, April 13, at 7:00 pm.  The presenting sponsor is the Sartori Company. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Plymouth High School Music Booster Club.

Mr. Zach Holden is the director and coordinator for this concert. A former actor and musician in NYC, his notable credits include “Steve” in the Off-Broadway run of Good Morning New York, “Aaron” in the Gabriel’s Inferno film trilogy, and “Franke” in the national tour of Calling All Divas. Zach is currently a music assistant at Plymouth High School and teaches private voice and acting lessons at Dreams Unlimited in Plymouth. He will also be music directing RENT for the Sheboygan Theatre Company this spring.

This concert series is a tribute to the late Joseph Sartori (Papa Joe) in honor of his musical talent and in appreciation of the Sartori Family’s generous contribution to the Plymouth Arts Center. Tickets for the concert are $15 for adults, $10 for youth 18 and under. Seating is limited, so please reserve early by calling (920) 892-8409, emailing info@plymoutharts.org, or ordering online at plymouth-arts-center.ticketleap.com/an-evening-of-the-classics-young-stars/.

The Solo & Ensemble Festival has been a staple of the music curriculum in Plymouth for decades, giving students the opportunity to seek individual growth and achievement through musical performance. Plymouth routinely sends dozens of students to the District and State-level festivals for adjudication. In the last year alone, Plymouth sent over 50 events to State. The performers for this concert will all be attending this year’s State-level music festival held at UW-Milwaukee on April 27.

The Plymouth Arts Center is the leading arts destination in western Sheboygan County. Founded in 1993 as a community non-profit arts organization, the PAC presents and fosters the visual and performing arts for its members, visitors, and friends of the arts throughout the State of Wisconsin and beyond.
